Hanukkah Recipe: Potato Pancakes with Chocolate Drizzle

Take your next Latke up a notch by drizzling it with SoChatti! This salty and sweet combination will be sure to please a hungry crowd!


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound hash browns, defrosted if frozen
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup peanut oil or as needed
  • 2 ounces of SoChatti

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. To make your potato pancakes with chocolate drizzle. Defrost the hash browns and chop the onion.  Combine the hash browns, onion, and eggs into a large bowl. In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

Step 2. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, stir until well combined.

Step 3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, then add the peanut oil. Scoop about a ½ of cup of the latke mixture into the pan, cooking 5 to 7 minutes on each side. The latke should be golden brown and crispy.  

Step 4. Once finished cooking place the latkes onto a paper towel or cooling rack.  Then serve with a drizzle of SoChatti and your favorite applesauce.
