A Day Out in the Windsor Park Neighborhood

A Day Out in the Windsor Park Neighborhood

If you’re looking for fun and unique things to do in Indianapolis, look no further than Windsor Park. Located just up the street from the new Bottleworks District, this historic neighborhood is home to the Circle Center Industrial Complex (CCIC, for short), a diverse community of artists, makers, and other small businesses, along with plenty of local shops, eateries, and unforgettable experiences. A large lot right off the highway across the street from the CCIC offers ample parking and easy access to everything Windsor Park Indianapolis has to offer.

Whether you’re hanging out with friends, enjoying a bachelorette party, or taking a much-needed Indianapolis vacation, Windsor Park is well worth checking out. Here, we have your guide to some of the best things to do during your visit.

Visit an Artisanal Bakery

Start your day with a coffee and breakfast at one of Windsor Park’s artisanal bakeries. Amelia’s offers fresh sourdough bread, in-house baked pastries, and a delicious espresso menu. Their outdoor patio is the perfect spot for spending time with friends. At Sidedoor Bagel, you’ll find freshly boiled and baked sourdough bagels, which you can order topped with cream cheese, bacon and egg, peanut butter and jelly, and more.

Enjoy a Chocolate Experience Like No Other

For a truly unique experience, head over to SoChatti’s beautiful chocolate tasting room at Circle City Industrial Complex and prepare to change your chocolate expectations. Here, you can enjoy a flight of delectable locally-crafted vegan chocolates, make drop candies or participate in one of the shop’s chocolate-making classes. Walk-ins are available for chocolate tastings, but flight reservations are recommended! You can even book a private event, making it a perfect place for celebrations like a birthday or bachelorette party in Indianapolis.

Taste chocolates made using only three ingredients, including responsibly sourced cacao beans from origins around the world. Experience SoChatti’s unique tasting notes and create your own drop candies with seasonal toppings to take home. Purchase wine or beer to drink with your tasting or try artfully curated pairings with SoChatti’s chocolate and wine class. Are you on vacation with your children? Let young ones get hands-on with chocolate in the kid’s class.

SoChatti has to-go chocolate packs and pouches available to purchase, so don’t forget to pick up some extra goodies before you leave. Swing by SoChatti during First Fridays, a recurring event that happens on the first Friday of every month, for some tasty treats to enjoy while you listen to live music and shop local artists.

Grab Drinks

As your day winds down, make your way over to one of the other fun spots at CCIC for drinks. Check out 8th Day Distillery for a variety of artisan cocktails and canned beverages in a hip tap room. Centerpoint Brewing Company features high-quality, precision-crafted beer for all tastes. If you’re feeling competitive, head to Fowling Warehouse for a round or two of football bowling with your beverages.
