CHOCOLATE MOLE SAUCE
Make dinner festive tonight! Prepare a simple chocolate mole sauce to go with your favorite meats and veggies to bring everyone to the dinner table.
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1/2 cup vegetable or chicken broth
1/4 cup SoChatti chocolate
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Step 1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, cinnamon and salt to the pan. Cook the spices, stirring, until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
Step 2. Add the tomato sauce, broth, SoChatti, and peanut butter; stir to combine.
Step 3. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes. Then season with pepper.
Step 4. Serve the mole sauce with a variety of items such as grilled vegetables, pork or chicken.
